“Come to to bed, Jae.”

The brunet visibly jumped in his seat, and if Yunho wasn’t so sleepy he would have laughed. Jaejoong turned around, tried to give him a smile through a clearly tired face and whispered, “Just a few more minutes. It’s almost done.”

The younger male shook his head to himself and laid his head back down on the pillow. His boyfriend was finishing up an assignment that was due for the first morning lecture—an assignment that Yunho had continuously reminded the brunet to finish since the week it was given out. Of course, Jaejoong had dismissed his nagging (like always), choosing to spend his time doing other things like watching baking videos on the internet and playing with the stray cat outside the university, until finally too many days had passed and the assignment was staring at him mean in the face.

Yunho wanted to say I told you very badly—it was almost on the tip of his tongue, but he kept his mouth shut because he loved Jaejoong too much to offend him in such a way. The brunet had his pride.

Around an hour later, Yunho’s eyes fluttered open at the sound of faint noise, and his brow furrowed in irritation at the disturbance until he realized that it was Jaejoong wandering around the room. He turned his head, watching his boyfriend close the laptop and put his books away, before he padded to the bathroom.

A few minutes later, he emerged with a slightly wet face and his bangs tied up before he switched off the desk lamp. And then there he was, crawling into bed and nuzzling Yunho’s shoulder, almost as if asking for acceptance.

When Yunho wrapped an arm around him without hesitation, pulling him close and kissing his head, Jaejoong mewled, almost climbing on top of him and showering his face with all the smooches in the world.

“I’m sorry,” came a faint whisper, “I should have listened to you and because of that, I disturbed your sleep as well.”

“It’s okay,” Yunho murmured, and it really was. He could almost see the brunet’s smile in the dark, and then lips pressed gently against his. Another apology. The younger male rolled them over, pinning his boyfriend to the bed before burying his face in the brunet’s neck. “Love you,” he whispered, lips against Jaejoong’s skin. He could never stay truly annoyed at Jaejoong. It was impossible.

He listened as the brunet whispered the same words back, and he kissed his way up to Jaejoong’s ear, before nuzzling his earlobe and pressing his lips there softly. His boyfriend moaned softly at the feeling, shuddering in his arms with pleasure. When Yunho moved to pull away, Jaejoong grabbed him, refusing to let go.

“We can’t, Jae,” the younger male mumbled, realizing what he had just done. He squeezed himself out of Jaejoong’s grip, ignoring the pout he immediately knew was there. “You have an early lesson tomorrow. You need these three hours of sleep.”

“But Yunnie,” came the expected whine. Legs slid around his waist, pulling him back, and Yunho groaned. His boyfriend was rather persistent. “You know I sleep better when we do it,” he murmured, his voice dropping to a level of silk, honey and everything sweet— and Yunho immediately yanked himself away before his own self-control vanished.

He grabbed his blanket and pillow, and then slid off the bed and onto the floor, ignoring Jaejoong’s frantic protests. “I’m sleeping here if you can’t contain yourself,” he muttered, trying to get comfortable on the thin carpet. It wasn’t easy.

“It was your fault!” Jaejoong accused, all lust gone from his voice as he slapped Yunho’s shoulder from above, “You kissed my ear. You know what that does to me!”

Yunho ignored him, squeezing his eyes shut and trying to go back to sleep. He wasn’t thinking when he moved his lips to his boyfriend’s ear. Jaejoong just felt so warm and comfortable that he couldn’t help it, and then momentarily forgot that it was one of the older male’s most sensitive places.

There was silence, at least for a few minutes before Yunho heard shifting on the bed. And then unhappy sighs, dramatic and awfully loud. The younger male bit his tongue, trying not to indulge in what the brunet wanted, and kept his eyes shut. He forcefully counted sheep in his head as Jaejoong made all sorts of displeased sounds—and then finally about a silent minute later, a whisper so soft the younger male almost missed it.

“Are you asleep?”

“No.”

“Come back to bed.”

“No.”

Jaejoong let out a sad puppy whine before insisting, “I won’t do anything! I promise. Please?”

“You sure?”

“Yes,” the brunet promised, and then a pleading hand touched his arm. Yunho rolled over, squinted his eyes in the dark to see if he could make out his boyfriend’s expression. He couldn’t, but he decided to give the other male a chance.

Grabbing his blanket and pillow again, Yunho climbed back into bed and the second his back touched the mattress, he had a happy little brunet cozying up in his arms. Jaejoong didn’t try anything this time, simply purring into the crook of his neck and dozing off after a whisper of goodnight and sweet dreams and Yunho smiled, stroking his boyfriend’s hair in endearment.

To be honest, he didn’t even miss sleep that much when Jaejoong was around.
